As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Correspondent, the two-day protest was called by Jammu and Kashmir Casual and Daily Wagers Forum (JKCDWF). Sajad Ahmad Parray, president of the association told KNO that the two-day protest was called to seek the attention of the government to fulfill their promises. “The non-regularization of duties of casual labourers and daily wagers, have even shattered the dreams of our children as well,” he said. He added that the successive regimes so far have failed to look into the sufferings of thousands of families as well as their children. “There are instances where the children of many casual labourers and daily wagers could not continue their education and were forced to come out and earn livelihood for the family,” he said. Parray further said that in case the government will not take any decision for the wellbeing of casual and daily wagers, the association will intensify its protests to press for the demands. He further stated that a fresh protest programme will be announced tomorrow—(KNO)
